Two Insanely Cool Food Service Jobs You’ll Love

Are you a food service worker looking for unique food service jobs? Food service jobs where you can combine your love of food with your love of entertainment?

If you answered yes, then you’ve landed at the right place!

I’ll teach you everything you need to know to get started in two food service jobs:

1- Craft services and

2- Production catering.

By the way, you’ve probably seen these food service jobs listed in the production credits at the end of a movie or television show but have no idea what the roles and responsibilities of each position are.

Well, here’s a short description of what each of these food service jobs does on a production set. Subsequently, I’ll cover them more extensively in my 7-part series listed below.

Craft services versus production catering

As a craft services food worker you’re responsible for the provision of food and beverages to the cast and crew of film, television, music video, and commercial productions throughout the production’s work day.

As a production caterer you provide the two main meals of the production day, breakfast and lunch. This is ideal for anyone looking for a fun chef jobs or cook jobs.

While I cover the responsibilities of the production caterer in the 7-part series I should point that this blog focuses mostly on craft services as a food service job option for you.

However, much of what you’ll learn about craft services also applies to the responsibilities of production catering. The biggest differences between the two are start up costs and experience.

Extensive food service job experience not needed

In fact, craft services requires little to no experience and little to no expense to get started. I’ll tell you everything you need to know to land these food service jobs on the pages of the CraftySnax Craft Services blog.
